Creating a faux wallpaper look with paint & brush

One of my favorite design DIYs is finding super-cool wallpaper and recreating it on walls with paint & a brush. I love to paint and I enjoy it as a hobby. Especially during the pandemic. I set my dining room up as an art studio and painted a lot. It’s therapeutic for me and gave me an outlet to be creative when we couldn’t get out in the world to do so. It also caused me to remember how exciting it can be to paint walls.

There’s just something special about painting walls in rooms to achieve a fun modern vibe without the cost of expensive wallpaper that you will someday, most likely, want to replace. The great thing about painting on walls is that one day you can paint right over it. I secretly hope you never do, but let’s face it, it will happen.

My new project on 30A is going to get some paint.

Stay tuned to see photos of what we do! Here’s a pic of me painting a dining room. So fun, easy & affordable. Try it, you might like it.
